New Age “Weirdo”

I have been interested in the “mystical” for as long as I can remember and classify myself as kind of a “New-Age weirdo” that swings more towards solid evidence than a bangle clanging, crystal ball reading, type of new-ager, (although I do have a couple decks of tarot cards, several pendulums, have the soul of a gypsy and heart of a hippy).  When I began studying Psychology, I came to understand that the mystical and the clinical are one in the same, and so is the goal; to restore a sense of peace and balance to those who are “broken” and struggling, they’re just presented from different frameworks.

I am an energy healer, which means that I can “see/feel” disrupted energy patterns in and around a person and show them how to iron out their wrinkles.  Sounds pretty woo-woo, but what it means is that I help people identify their soul wounds (emotional traumas – and yes, we all have them), and how they relate to, and negatively affect behavior keeping people feeling like they are stuck in a life that they didn’t sign up for.  Essentially, I help people get square with themselves and the universe, which naturally creates a sense of peace and love within themselves that carries over into the “real” world.

I do what I do from a place of altruism as well as selfishness.  Here’s my rationale: If I can help make your world better, you are naturally going to positively impact my world.  There is going to be less stressed-out, irritable, and bitchy people that I will have to deal with, and more people with a smile, kindness, and a little spark of fun in their heart instead.  Sounds like a pretty good deal to me!

So, if you see me happily skipping about when you’re in a bad mood, don’t be irritated with me.  I just want everyone to get along and have a lot of fun with each other.  Instead of giving me the hairy eyeball (dirty look), because let’s face it, the worst thing in the world when a person is crabby is to run across someone who is not, take a moment to stop, enjoy the smile and let it lighten the load of whatever it is that is making you crabby.  Who knows, maybe some day I will be the one throwing around the hairy eyeballs and need a smile from you.

I wrote this a few years ago, and it hangs on the wall of my office:

“Everyone that comes into my energy field is given the gift of kindness, compassion, and love.  I am Divine light, and everyone benefits because of who I am.  Do not forget that; let your light shine bright.”

The same is true for you.  Write it down and put it somewhere where you see it every day.  It helps put everything into perspective, especially on those particularly rotten days, and sure feels a lot better than being crabby.

When every-ONE is better, every-THING is better!
