The Balance of Being

Happy Holidays!

I love Christmas.  I love Christmas as much as I love Halloween, but in a different way.  Both are times where the veil between the worlds is thin.  We are open to Spirit.  Halloween, however, is about exploring our fears…our demons.  It is about mysticism and all the scary things-essentially, our shadow selves, evil, the devil and devilish behaviors.  It is about the dark side of our existence.

Christmas also is a time where it is easier for us to access different dimensions, but at Christmas, we go higher and brighter as we explore what it means to be as our higher-selves.  At Christmas, we explore our light, and oh, how beautifully twinkly we are!

Christmas is about love, family, connection and best of all, the Spirit of Christmas!  Oh, that beautiful Spirit of Christmas.  The piece of us that gives and expresses Love freely, and without reserve.  Everyone is a little brighter and it is common to see strangers smile at each other, hold doors for one another, and generally just try to make someone’s day a little brighter.  “Happy Holidays!”  I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE IT!

For just a while, we can forget about all the bullshit and focus on creating and loving.  We take time for the important things, like slowing down and finding time to play games and share a meal together.  We listen to each other as we catch up on the past year and dreams for year that is just around the corner.

Everything smells good and people help each other out a little bit more.  There are twinkling lights and brilliant colors everywhere.  The music sings songs of Love and Reverence, Hope, and wishes coming true.  We are full of love.  We are operating from our hearts and it is beautiful.  THAT is the Spirit of Christmas…operating from our hearts.  I’m not the first to say it, but “what if everyday was just like Christmas”?  I wonder what would happen if we operated out of our hearts every day of the year?

Maybe it would make us complacent because we would be happy.  Maybe, but what if it didn’t?  What if it just made us realize how wonderful things can be and we just keep getting better?  I think we should all give it a try…

TWINKLE ON, with hearts that are Merry and Bright!

PEACE
